They will just chainge the oil, however us enthusiasts know that doesnt do enough to maintain the haldex system. You need to remove the pump & clean the haldex filter gauze.

When I asked my dealer about a Haldex service they told me they would change the oil and clean the filter, didn't take any prompting. Guys I've just bought an 04 R32 & it's on 24k miles. Can you tell me what the Haldex is & why it needs to be done? From the service history I can't see if the Haldex change has been done at 20k miles.

Hi, the haldex is the 4wd controller which determines how the power is distributed between the front and rear wheels. It operates utilising hydraulics and needs its oil changed every 20k to keep it working efficently
