Who can play at Admiral Baker?
The North Course at Admiral Baker underwent an extensive, 10-month renovation before reopening in March of this year, and since then the facility has been quietly welcoming the general public to play. Military members are still the priority, but other golfers now fill tee times that might otherwise go unused.
Who is Admiral Baker?
Wilder D. Baker, who directed the first sea attack against Japan in World War II, died today. He was 85 years old. Admiral Baker a 1914 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, was former commandant of the 11th Naval District here.

Why is Torrey Pines so hard?
It is very difficult: Extraordinary length, narrow fairways, deep rough, punishing bunkers and multi-tiered greens make it one of the toughest layouts anywhere. And you can't argue with the theater of 2008 or the champion it identified. On both counts Torrey gets an A+.
How much does it cost to play Pebble Beach?
$575Pebble Beach green fees for a standard round are a whopping $550 per person and will increase to $575 on April 1, 2020. In addition to that initial price, it costs $45 per person to use a cart. If you choose to go the caddie route and walk, which is recommended, the caddie fee will run you another $95 per bag.

The course rating is 72.4 and it has a slope rating of 126 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Jack L. Daray, Sr., ASGCA, the North golf course opened in 2012.
Flyover
Course is Good, but the staff go out of their way to assume you are shady, they won't let you check in or get your cart until 15 mins prior to your tee time when you book after 3pm. They are paranoid you will tee off early. No cash is excepted anywhere either. I play Torrey Pines now instead.
