Aronimink Golf Club is a private Platinum Golf Club located just outside of Philadelphia in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. The Club has a rich history dating back to 1896. In 1926, Aronimink acquired 300 acres in Newtown Square and commissioned Donald Ross to design the historical golf course. On Memorial Day of 1928, the Club moved into the current clubhouse.

Its championship layout is consistently rated among the nation's top golf courses. Aronimink is currently ranked 78th in Golf Digest's "Greatest Courses," 44th in "Toughest Courses" and 55th in Golfweek's "Classic Courses." In 2010, Aronimink was ranked #4 among the toughest courses on the PGA Tour by Links magazine.

It has one of the greatest opening holes, with a tee shot from an elevated tee down into a valley and then up again to an elevated green. The par threes all play downhill, which I like. The 5th, although short, is particularly well bunkered. The 7th is a memorable uphill par four dogleg with a table top green that is cut into the side of a hill and is well bunkered. The 11th is a very challenging par four that seems to keep rising up the hill with an elevated green that is quite challenging. One of Ross’s best routings, with continual change in direction. The green has a steep fall off to the left side and has mounds and a spine in it. This is one of the more difficult greens to putt. The thirteenth is the shortest par 4 on the golf course but with a lot of bunkers on the left side. The rough can be very penal on the right side of the fairway.
