About the Event
Join Chris Long, his fellow Waterboys, UVA legends and celebrity friends at the inaugural Waterboys Charity Challenge event. The two-day fundraising event hosted at Boar’s Head Resort and the Davis Love III Birdwood Golf Course in Charlottesville, Virginia features music, golf and an auction.
Meet the Host
Chris Long is a two-time Super Bowl champion NFL defensive end and the 2018 NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year. This Charlottesville resident has the distinction of having his jersey retired at St. Anne’s Belfield School and the University of Virginia.
About Waterboys
Named for one of the most overlooked but integral positions on any team, Waterboys unites professional athletes and fans in support of a single shared cause: providing clean, accessible drinking water to communities in need. Waterboys funds both international and domestic water projects with the goal of bringing clean water to 1 million people.
