The 18-hole " Seaside " course at the Sea Island Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Georgia features 7,055 yards of golf from the championship tees for a par of 70. The course rating is 73.1 and it has a slope rating of 141 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Colt & Alison/ (R) Thomas Fazio, ASGCA, the Seaside golf course opened in 1929.

Who designed the first nine hole golf course in Sea Island?
Created by the great British designer Walter Travis in 1928, Plantation was Sea Island’s first nine-hole course. Redesigned in 1998 by Rees Jones, the course is now being redesigned by Davis and Mark Love. They are reintroducing some of its historical elements, drawing on its traditional profile, and bringing into play some of the ideas they have had since they were youngsters, when they grew up playing the course with their father. Plantation reopens ahead of the 2019 RSM Classic.
Bike Parking
The tournament encourages patrons to ride your bike to the grounds of Sea Island Golf Club. Bike Parking is located near the main entrance – follow the signs for tournament designated Bike Parking.
Handicap Parking
Patrons in need of additional assistance are asked to use the McKinnon/St. Simons Island Airport General Parking Area. A separate shuttle with wheelchair accessibility will transport patrons directly to the Special Needs tent located near the Village Area on the tournament grounds.
