STEP 1 - ORDER & COMPONENT CHECKING

This is where Club Builder #1 checks to make sure the correct equipment is pulled from inventory, everything matches the customer order sheet, and various components are prepared for the builders next in line.

STEP 2 - SHAFT LENGTH

Club Builder #2 cuts the shaft length based on our PXG Troop’s fitting specifications.

STEP 3 - DRY SWING WEIGHTING

Club Builder #3 uses a swing weight scale and tip weights to make sure the head weight is accurate based on the order spec sheet and customer fitting.

STEP 4 - GLUING

During this step, our PXG team member glues the shafts into their respective heads. After everything is glued into place and the shafts are aligned properly, Club Builder #4 will place the equipment into a heating carousel, which works to dry the epoxy three times faster than if left to dry on its own.

STEP 6 - GRIPPING

Club Builder #6 works to ensure that the grip is aligned properly on the shaft and that it is at the proper length.

STEP 7 - FINAL SWING WEIGHT & CLEANING

At this station, the swing weight is checked once again on a swing weight scale to ensure the final product is accurate. Club Builder #7 also adjusts weights in the drivers , fairways, and hybrids at this station.

STEP 8 - FINAL INSPECTION

The equipment is now ready to be boxed and shipped! Club Builder #8 cleans the equipment, gathers accompanying headcovers, products, or materials that are needed. Finally, the clubs are carefully packed into one of our sexy black boxes.

I know by me writing this, I may as well put a bullseye on my back. I expect and probably deserve a good amount of flack and criticism starting this discussion. My interest in purchasing PXG gen 3 Players model started several weeks ago after hitting them at a local demo day.

wings02

If I were to change the shaft and still not like the clubs, I don't think they can be returned. I would have to put them on Ebay or similar.

FmaxTurboSi

what kind of balls were you hitting during the fitting? did you take your current clubs and compare them to the pxg's during the fitting so you could compare apples to apples? did you not mishit any shots at all during the fitting? just curious because there's a lot of variables. I'm scheduled for a fitting this tuesday.

Bucken77

Good for you man. You should be happy with your sticks no matter the cost. Now you get to pick new irons!

okta

Good for making the call you needed to. I find fitting massively flawed for this exact reason. It’s a different ball game on the golf course. I hit my (now ex) ping G irons perfectly on the launch monitor but it was chunk city on the course.

mjf34g

Were you fit indoors or out? Fittings indoors IMHO are useless and to only used as a "baseline". Fitting outdoors or hitting from inside to out with your preferred balls is, once again IMHO the best way to be fit. Seeing ballflight is a huge part of the fitting process.

cgasucks

Yeah. My last buyer's remorse club purchase was last month when I bought an old school TM 360 9.5d driver with a Prolite shaft. For some reason, despite the highly touted shaft, I couldn't really control it and the feel and sound wasn't as good as I thought.
