The clubhead of a forged iron has additional weight in the center. This higher and smaller sweet spot teaches you to hit more consistently. The construction is more consistent and refined than on cast irons.
Are forged clubs harder to hit?
Forged or players' irons, undoubtedly, are slightly more challenging to hit in comparison to cavity-back or cast irons. With forging, the iron is formed using a single, solid piece of steel. Thus, there's not much flexibility there for making the golf club as highly forgiving as molten-metal-poured cast iron.
Do forged irons feel softer?

For instance, the pitching wedge at 46° is a couple of degrees stronger than a few player’s clubs. Still, the lofts aren’t out of range. The short irons are the same lofts as the Callaway X-20 Tour irons and only 1° stronger than Mizuno MP-60s.

The irons have a fairly shallow cavity back design but, at the same time, a comparatively low center of gravity and high moment of inertia compared to many forged blades. Just seeing what yall think. I know most Adams iron fly under the radar and don't get a lot of love because guys on tour don't play them. But I have seen and heard nothing but great things. Which ones have you tried? I've never hit them and might try and pick up a set super super cheap. If I can. The ones that caught my eye are:

MB2 should probably be at the top of the list, especially if you are pretty consistent. Top notch in all respects.

I'm playing XTD Forged currently. Like them, but you know when you missed it off pure.
ImBurningStarIV
Every Adams forged irons I've ever hit have been awesome. The MB2's were probably my favorite all around, and by far the coolest looking off the shelf irons ever made. The CMB's were probably the most well received though and they were great too. But the most success I personally ever had was the A12 pros.
adh2k1
A12 Pro's were/are great. Haven't decided on which irons to use for the year quite yet, but they are great irons and I picked them up 3 years ago for $100 (!!) used but in great shape. I think which ever set you decide on you will like.
sfdoddsy
I'd choose the CMB (and have) because I think they look the best and feel great.
