From reading about the turbo inlets it seems very hit and miss, has anyone done before and after dyno as a 3rd party or before and after quarter mile runs? Maybe I should exclude that from the list?

OK I am Golf R shopping I know what to look out for and once I find the right car I plan to tune it, I've being searching here and reading FB groups and from what I can figure out is though the car is reliable the early models a rare few had turbo issues, so try to get 64 plate or newer and then tuning wise I should be:

I have vwr elbow, Ramair intake pipe which is huge compared to stock, Ramair filter and snow grate removal. This all came in at £200, I am now booked in for a remap and day map so all in will be around £950 which I think is very cheap for 360-370bhp and similar torque figures.
