Who designed Upper Montclair Golf Course?
27-holes of Championship golf designed by two of the most prolific architects in the history of golf. Originally designed by A.W. Tillinghast, Upper Montclair underwent major course renovations in the 1950’s directed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.
How many holes are on the Montclair Country Club golf course?
A.W. Tillinghast set out the original 18-hole course at Upper Montclair Country Club in the 1920s then Robert Trent Jones completely renovated the layout three decades later in 1956, adding another nine holes (the South) in the process.
What's new at Upper Montclair?
In 2011 Upper Montclair completed a Master Plan golf course renovation project that included installing a new state of the art drainage and irrigation system, while reshaping and restoring all of the bunkers throughout the 27 hole facility. This opens in a new window. A great starting hole in terms of fairness.
What tournaments did Nick play in?
Over the years Nick has earned the privilege of playing quite a few different tournaments, such as the New Hampshire Open and the MGA Ike Stroke Play Championship. While at Methodist, Nick was a midfielder for the Men’s Lacrosse. During his Junior and Senior seasons he was the team’s face-off leader.
Where is Nick from PGM?
Nick hails from Scituate, Massachusetts. He is a recent graduate of Methodist University where he earned his degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Professional Golf Management. During his four years in the PGM program, Nick worked as an intern at three very distinguished clubs: Eastward Ho!
Play Etiquette

Cell Phone Policy
The use of cell phones is permitted only in the the locker rooms, front lobby, or outside the building in an appropriate area. Cell phones must be set on vibrate mode so as not to ring while on Club property. This consists of all areas of the Clubhouse, outside patios, the golf course, or driving range.
UMCC Golf Attire
Tucked in shirts with at least a one-inch collar, Bermuda length shorts (no higher than 4-inches above the knee) or slacks for gentlemen. Appropriate golf shirts, dresses, skirts, split-skirts, Bermuda length shorts , capri pants and slacks for women.
Hat Policy
Hats are to be forward facing at all times on Club property, and removed in the Clubhouse, which includes indoor and outdoor dining areas. Please note that hats should also be removed if sitting down at the Halfway House. If passing by the Halfway House, hats can remain on. The hat policy applies to both ladies and men.
Club Dress Code Policy
Appropriate denim attire includes jeans/ pants, jackets, proper length shorts, skirts, skorts, capris, and dresses. Denim must be neat and free of any rips, stains and excess wear. UMCC does not allow cut-offs, overalls, baggy jeans, bleached/acid washed or torn denim.
