Can anbody give a head to head comparison, same weight and flex? Have Steelfibers and they play firm to flex but dispersion is good. Considering some new irons with UST recoils.

Big Ben

Do you really find Steelfibers firm to flex? I've seen this mentioned a few times now and my experience is very true to flex, not overly stiff at all. Sorry to thread jack...BB

freddyottawa

I'm definitely interested to hear some solid comparisons on this. I have SF's currently but have yet to try the Recoil's. Tbowles can offer some insight if he sees this as I know he has had the SF's in the past and currently plays the Recoils. LittleBigDog, which SF's are you currently using?

ahbot

I had the SF and I currently have the Recoils. I have to say that the Recoils are a lot smoother and take less effort to swing. The SF are much firmer and more "steel" like feel to them. Both are absolutely great shafts but it all depends on what you are looking for.

Big Ben

Seriously, no seriously the Steelfibers are legit, I'm a big fan as well...BB

Big Ben

You would like them and man are they easy on the joints, saved my season last year my elbow was toast.

Big Ben

They really should, these shafts would be an excellent complement to the arsenal...BB

What is an Aerotech shaft?

Aerotech steel fiber iron shafts are the only graphite shaft that have been consistently played on the tours. The shaft is unique, a thin steel wire is wrapped over a filament wound graphite core. The filament wrapping process, done correctly, creates inherently round shafts by eliminating any possibility of a sheet overlap that can occur in sheet wrapped designs. Until now, this design was limited to iron, hybrid and fairway shafts. Steel is heavy compared to graphite. Too heavy to produce a long driver shaft in the common weight ranges. That problem was overcome in the Aerotech Ti-Fiber driver shaft by using Titanium wire in place of steel.
