I think I am going to replace my seat cover my self instead of having the local upholstery shop do it.

i was going to use not the exact thing but close to it to do mine... but i went to a few local boat shops here and they swore up and down that a regular staple gun is what they use on all pwc seats... they said they have had too many staples shoot thru even at low psi...

McMaster CARR go on their website and search for their upholstery stapler and monel staples. I got one and it worked great. with that many seats your better off owning it.

I have bought a few staplers to do seats and some worked for some seats and some didn't, The plastic is different on some Sea-Doo seats and is hard as a rock like the shock seats on later Xp's, I bought one of these and so far has worked on all.

That's what I use to reupholster boats. Harbor freight has them for like 14 bucks if there is one near you, and you can download a 20% off coupon as well. Probably the exact same gun with different colors and stickers, made in China, and nowhere near a bosch in terms of quality or price. But it will do for a seat.
