How long was the Highlands round?
I played The Highlands on a Sunday in July at 9am. Round took about 5 hours. Brutally slow in 96 degree heat. Cart girl showed up twice. They had some coolers with ice on a few holes. There were a few groups of, shall we say, senior players in front of us. I'm sure they played as fast as they could, but 5 hours is SLOW.
Is the par 5 golf course challenging?
Fairways played pretty well. I was able to pick divots and shape shots as expected. Lots of trees that punish you if you stray too far from the fairway. A number of the holes were narrow, which clearly rewards accuracy. None of the par 5's were challenging with regards to distance. Quite a number of the holes had water that came into play.
