Only a very few players still use the long putter, if you can' t anchor it, it doesn' t do you much good. On the senior tour Langer anchors it on his practice stroke, but not on his actual stroke where he moves it a couple inches away from his chest. But I hardly doubt he's the culprit, as he is the best player on the senior tour and is on TV virtually every time he plays.
