I've heard from a couple of friends that Champions Club is the most "target golf" course they've ever played. I remember it originally opened as a private club and had to open it up to the public after ONE year because members threatened to leave or did leave.

This actually made the LA Evening News last night. Did not paint a pretty picture of this developer, especially in looking at some of his past tactics at other courses (dumping truckloads of chicken manure on the closed course right by the houses of homeowners that vocally opposed him .... "to keep the grass alive".
