About Lake Shastina Golf Resort

Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed 27 holes at the Lake Shastina Golf Resort in 1973 in the shadow of Mount Shasta. Outdoor activities such as hiking, boating, fishing and waterskiing are part of the fabric of the region. Stay and play packages are available in condos and homes. Mt Shasta reigns throughout the course. We had clear pristine skies with poofs of steam halo ing the mountain. Course was well kept. The sand traps however were dense with little give, the greens were fast, typical to end of summer dry course conditions

HISTORY OF LAKE SHASTINA. When the first pioneers began to settle in the Shasta Valley, the land was dry and scorched; water was scarce and farming was difficult. It wasn't until the young Dr. Dwinnell arrived from Chicago in 1891 that water was to become more easily available.

ABOUT LSPOA. The LSPOA is the largest homeowners association in the Lake Shastina area with approximately 3200 lots, and comprises most of the area around the golf course and east side of the Lake Shastina.

Dues are billed quarterly or semi- annually depending on the improvements. All streets within the Association area are private and the Association maintains the streets and the drainage within the LSPOA boundaries.
