Shepherd Center book sale
The Shepherd Center of Greater Winston-Salem has scheduled its annual book sale for Sept. 2-4 event. The sale has traditionally been in May, but was moved this after being canceled in 2020.
COVID-19 testing sites
Testing is available at no-cost to the participant. Insurance will be billed if applicable, but no copay is charged. For individuals without insurance, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) will be billed, again with no charge to the attendee. Testing events are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather.

When did Long Creek Golf Course close?
Photos: Long Creek Golf Course through the years. Long Creek Park used to be Long Creek Golf Course. The golf course closed in 2016, and Winston-Salem bought the property in 2017. This land used to be Long Creek Golf Course, before being acquired by the city of Winston-Salem.
How many acres is Long Creek Park?
Most of the 164-acre spot, purchased by the city in 2017, looks and feels like the golf course it once was.

Golf Course Update
As the weather gets colder and the season starts to wind down we want to say a big thank you everyone for making this season successful and enjoyable for all of the staff here at Long Creek.
Fall Aeration 2021
We will be aerating greens on Tuesday August 31st and Wednesday September 1st. On August 31st the front 9 will be closed and only the back 9 will be available for play. On September 1st the back 9 will be closed and only the front 9 will be available for play.
Golf Course Closure
The golf course will be closed for the remainder of the day on August 22nd due to rain. The restaurant will remain open. The golf course will reopen Monday morning.
Long Creek Discount Affiliations
At Long Creek we have a select number of affiliations in regards to discounted golf. These include but are not limited to Shopico (Bell Media), CKRM Radio Auction, CJME Radio Auction, as well as various charity events across the province.
