Wei-Ling HsuThe 2021 Pure Silk Championship final leaderboard is headed by winner Wei-Ling Hsu, who picked up her first-career LPGA win at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va. In the final round, Hsu shot 3-under 68 to beat Moriya Jutanuagarn by two shots on 13-under 271.

This week, Jutanugarn kicks off her first of back-to-back title defenses. She makes her fourth start in Virginia where she won last season with four sub-70 rounds to capture her second career victory on Tour. Before winning at Kingsmill, Jutanugarn broke through for her first victory on Tour earlier that same month in Alabama.
Looking To Break Through
Three players received sponsor invites to this week’s Kingsmill Championship including Lauren Coughlin, Mariah Stackhouse and Kaylin Yost. Stackhouse, a 2017 rookie on the LPGA Tour and former Stanford standout, is making just her third start on Tour this season and looking to make her first cut.

Rolex Rankings No. 2 So Yeon Ryu and No. 3 Ariya Jutanugarn are looking to be the 10th different player to reach No. 1 since the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings began in 2006. Both players will try to achieve this in the coming weeks, as only 0.2 points separates them from the top ranking.

The Kingsmill Championship field features 21 of the 37 2017 LPGA Tour rookies, the most to tee it up at a tournament this season.
INSPIRING INVITE
Teeing it up on the River Course alongside the 144-player field will be Maryland native and sponsor invite Kaylin Yost. In March, the hearing-impaired Yost made waves by Monday qualifying and subsequently playing the weekend in her first LPGA tournament at the Bank of Hope Founders Cup.
