The South Texas Junior Golf Classic will take place July 15th, 16th & 17th, 2022. Since 1982 the TGJC has been providing our youth a local venue by which to test their competitive skills. The South Texas Junior Golf Classic is proud to be associated with the Southern Texas Section of the PGA of America. The event is open to the public.

Who won the boys 15-18 division?
The back nine holes remained closed, so the first nine were played twice. McAllen’s Esteban Gonzalez won the boys 15-18 division, which had the largest amount of competitors with 15 golfers. Gonzalez shot 72, which is par at the course, to achieve his goal of winning the STJGC championship.
Who finished second in the 2021 state tournament?
Daniel Garza (74) of Palmview finished second. Maximiliano Martinez and Dylan Villarreal of McAllen and Brownsville’s Alejandro Ramirez all shot 76 to tie for third. Gonzalez, 16, plays for McAllen Memorial and was the lone Valley golfer to advance to the 2021 state tournament.
