The genesis of Breed’s exit was the network’s acquisition of Revolution Golf. With that came the need to feature instructors from that platform — enter Sean Foley, who was working with Woods a while back, maybe long enough for a couple of cups of coffee with Eldrick between lessons. So now there’s Foley and a guy from Scotland.

Breed said some of the decision was related to family life, and he also has teaching opportunities with Trump Links at Ferry Point in New York City. Breed won't be moving away from video instruction entirely.Jan 2, 2018

I never bothered watching Golf Fix but I don't mind Breed when he does commentary. Curious to see how Foley's show is and if he starts doing more things for GC.

lastings

Thats too bad. I like Michael Breed.. you don't really learn much from those shows, but they're enjoyable to watch and Michael Breed as a pretty unique personality.

gogolfing

I enjoyed the other Playing Lessons series TGC had, but the hosts were never my cup of tea. I am hoping Foley will bring some better insight than they did if they keep a similar format.

Isn't Foley very much a trackman/mechanical type of guy? If so, I'll enjoy his stuff quite a bit (I like to not just learn the feel needed to get the correct mechanics, but to also know why that works and what the physics is)

Veteran Golf Fan

I liked Breed just because I felt I could actually understand some of the things he taught...unfortunately I knew too many golfers that liked him and the other GC type shows so much that they were always just practicing whatever drill they were told to do the night before even if they didn't really have a problem in that area...at least to my untrained eye they didn't.
