pretty sure he doesn't play because really his game totally left him. I like faldo a lot but he does have quite a big ego and i'm sure going from #1 in the world to not being able to ever make a cut would hurt especially at the age he was when he quit.

totally agree with the above 2 posts....honestly, even though i loved seeing player and nicklaus and palmer play in years past, its pretty embarassing when they dont even show their scores because of how high they are. He doesn't play because he chooses not to play. I'd say that many have got it right that perhaps him being formally such a great player- that he doesn't want to play competitive golf in less then a level he see as his standard. I respect the man for playing or not playing.....
