Swan Lakes Golf Course in Layton, Utah will close for good on September 4, the Ogden (Utah) Standard-Examiner reported. A struggling golf industry as a whole, plus an oversaturation of golf courses in the area, were contributing factors to what vice president Sheryl Starkey termed as “extreme struggle” for the course since 2008.
