my clubs look the same after I hit from a mat. Even the regular side of it, they are just green instead of black. I tend to pull my irons to the left (im a righty). I do not want to hijack, but I do not know if it is the clubs being too flat or my turning over to soon. Plus, I'm not sure if the shafts are stiff enough.

Well, I'm 6'3" with a 6'7" wingspan (36" WTF) after 20+ years of having to get clubs bent 3-4* upright (which most manufacturers wouldn't do) I'm glad to see companies bumping this up a little. At least they offer custom fitting now, which back in the day Ping was about the only one. Titleist did a little.

I can easily manipulate the club to change the lie at impact. I own a GC2 w/ HMT and I can literally make it whatever I want it to be. That's sort of my point, which is when a club is upright, I will instinctively level it off through impact, but that doesn't mean the way my body does that naturally is beneficial.

I think the biggest offenders are hybrids. I've literally never seen a standard one that isn't insanely upright.

Just another angle to look at this from. All these new larger, higher moi, toe weighted irons create more toe droop at impact vs. a “traditional” iron design. Thus your dynamic lie angle will ended up more toe down. The more upright lie angles are probably part of the design to offset this.
