After a successful 9-hole trial from 2005 until 2007, the course was expanded to it’s current 18-hole form. The grand opening was on March 31st, 2007. The Golden Gate Disc Golf Course was funded, built, and is maintained completely by volunteers organized by the San Francisco Disc Golf Club.
