The Lajitas Golf Resort offers a boutique resort setting nestled in the lowland desert between the majestic mountains of the Big Bend National Park and the Big Bend Ranch State Park in Texas.

I had visite the Lajitas resort a few years ago and stayed in the main building. My recollection is that it was ok, no real issues. My recent visit was not ok. They have a number of buildings they can put you in. We were put in the Calvary Post building, across the street from the main building.

Pros: The staff was friendly and responsive. I lost my prescription glasses and one of the staff room service ladies turned them in. I am grateful for that.

The hotel was doing renovations and my room reeked of Mold, had no Phone, TV, no Wifi and the AC/heater didn't work !

Pros: The activities lady was very nice and informative as was Colton Hunt at the golf course. We did love the golf course and our reception there.
Underwhelming. At half the price it would be quite acceptable
Resort signage is either poor or non existant.Drove by twice and had to ask for the main entrance which actually uses a different name and is about 50yards off the highway through an unmarked parking lot. For this price,the room seemed worn and not up to date.Bathroom used cheap materials and hardware that didn't look very clean.
Great Place to Stay
The resort was very nice. Rooms were well decorated, food was excellent and the views were breath taking. The swimming pool needed some extra attention and several fountains on the property were not in working order. The staff was friendly and provided us with interesting background information.
