How to beat the Snow King in Mario Golf Super Rush

Defeating the Snow King is no easy feat. Stretched across three separate segments (each representing a different part of his snowy body,) you’ll need to lace up your golf shoes and get ready to cause some chaos.

Keep an eye on your Body Temp

While all of this is going on, be sure to keep an eye on your Body Temp meter in the top right, which acts as a timer for the level. If your body temperature drops to 0, then you will automatically lose the battle.

Dodging the Attacks

Upon starting the battle with the Snow King, you will immediately see purple markings on the ground. The Snow King will lob snowballs and Freezies at these marked areas, so steer clear of these purple markings to evade the Snow King's attacks. You can also use your Special Dash to quickly dodge attacks.

Watch Your Temparature

Getting hit by one of the Snow King's attacks will decrease your Mii character's temperature. You can view your temperature gauge in the upper-left corner of the screen. If your temperature gauge falls below 0, you will fail the battle and must restart the fight.

Taking Down the Crystals

The first step to defeating the Snow King is to get rid of his arms by taking out the crystals in the arena. You can spot a total of four crystals around the room, two of which emit a beam of light. Run to one of the platforms in front of the crystals and press the A Button near one of the Bob-ombs.

Damaging the Snow King

After getting rid of both his arms, the Snow King will start launching large snowballs at you. After the first snowball has been launched, it will leave behind a mound of snow on the ground. Stand on the snow mound and Press the A Button.

Snow King Phase 2

After destroying the bottom segment of the Snow King, he will regrow his arms, and you will need to get rid of them again. However, this time you need to hit all four crystals in the room with Bob-ombs.

Finshing Off the Snow King

After successfully destroying the Snow King's torso he will be left with a head and two floating arms. During the final stage of the battle, all the crystals around the room will be shielded in ice, and you can no longer hit them with Bob-ombs.

Take Down The Crystals

The Snow King will have a powerful shield surrounding him, and it's powered by up to four crystals that are on the edges of the room. You'll know a crystal is active if it is shooting a beam of light towards the Snow King.

Avoiding The Snow King's Attacks

The Snow King will summon smaller snowmen that throw snowballs at you, which can interrupt your shots, in addition to shooting a variety of icy projectiles your way, which will be marked on the ground with large impact indicators.

Knocking Back The Big Snowball

Eventually, the Snow King will charge up and launch a giant snowball, and this one is particularly deadly. You will know this is the large snowball, as the impact outline on the ground will expand from the centre to show its girth.

Equip lightning clubs and attire

The shop in Wildweather Woods sells a few clubs that prevent you from being struck by lightning. Pick them up and add them to your bag. They also sell lightning-mitigating attire.

Win a Special Match

Before you can get to Mount Snow, you’ll need to earn a Gold Badge by winning a Special Match. This match at Wildweather Woods is Speed Golf with points-based scoring. This means your score for each hole will be your time plus 30 seconds for each shot.

Head to Mount Snow

With your new Gold Badge, follow the arrow to the final course, the Bowser Highlands. Walk straight forward to (automatically) light the brazier in the center of town.
