Step 3: 2

Mark on both ends where the shoulder on the inside of the fitting is that stops the pipe. Make another mark, 1/8 inch from the opening, all the way around on one side. On the opposite side, mark the end with two lines that just touch the opening of the fitting and are parallel.

Step 4: 3

Cut on the line that is 1/8 from the end and keep the ring that you cut off. Make the cut as clean and straight as possible. If you have a belt sander, you can straighten up your cuts.

Step 5: 4

Cut from the lines on the end down to the shoulder line you drew earlier and cut out the area between the cuts so you have two ears. Make sure you cut to just outside the inner surface of the fitting. Drill a 9/64 hole in the middle of the ears.

Step 6: 5

Cut a ring of 1 inch pipe the length of one end of the fitting to the shoulder line you drew. Lay the ring on it’s side and cut a slit down its side.

Step 7: 6

Cut a piece of 1/8 rod the same length as the width of the outside of the fitting and smooth the ends of the rod.

Step 8: 7

Spread the 1 inch ring and slip it onto the side of the fitting without the ears. Leave enough space on the end for the ring you cut off and the 1/8 rod.

Step 9: 8

On another piece of 1/2 inch pipe cut the length of bone you want, slip it into the ear side of the fitting and mark where the holes are.

Step 1: Cutting the PVC Pipe (frame)

I really didn't have a measurement to go by. You can either go as tall or as normal size as you want your jack to be.

Step 2: Lets Make the Bat Bow!

Refer to the picture for visual reference. Fold the felt material in half the horizontal way. cut out the shape of the wing like showed in the picture by the red line. at this point you should have 2 exact pieces. before sewing your 2 pieces together hot glue a piece of floral wire around the edge of one piece of wing ( refer to diagram) place the second part of material on top and sew shut.

Step 3: Jacks Head

Ok so now we have the skeleton frame and the bow done. Now for the head. hot glue the two big foam spheres together . note: When going to bye your foam spheres or just a complete sphere use your best judgement for the size of head. carve and indent jacks eyes, nose, and smile. time to paint! paint it all white first with your acrylic paint.

Step 4: Jacks Suit

I bought 3 yards of black material from Walmart. Wasn't sure how much I was going to need. My first time doing something like this so for those of you who know what you are doing when sewing than do your thing. Buy as much or as little material as you might need. I kinda just eye balled it at this point.

Step 5: Finally! Jack!

The project takes alot of time and patience. But it such a cool project to do.

Step 2: Connections

cut 2 pieces off of the 2" pipe about 2" long pipe to use to connect the water vavle and the Y to the reducers

Step 3: Fillin' Station

Attach the quick connect to the gas valve. use teflon tape or pipe dope to get a good seal. thread that into one of the reducers and that into the strait end of the Y. thread the preasure gauge into the other reducer and put that into the other branch ot the Y. using one of your 2" pieces attach the Y to one of the 2" to 4" reducers.

Step 4: The Business End

Glue the 2" pipe in one end of the water valve and glue the remaining 2" piece on the other end. on that piece glue the 2" to 4" reducer and then the 4" pipe

Step 5: IT LIVES!!!!!

Glue the two pieces together and then put extra glue on the out side of all your connections just to be sure. be sure to let it dry for a few hours. we shot ours while it was still wet and my friend almost broke his thumb when the end came off.

Step 6: Ready, Fire, Aim

there's really no way to aim so you just gotta point and shoot. MAKE SURE to not shoot it at anyone or any thing that is alive. it will drive a golf ball through a 1/2" of sheet rock. a wash rag is needed to keep a seal around the golfball.

How big is a PVC connector?

The 1.25" x 1.25" x 1" P VC connector goes "over" the middle of that (you have to assemble only one side of it). Where the 1" connector is that connects to the handle, there's a little internal ridge that prevents the pusher arms to slide completely through. The coupling basically acts as a stopper, so you want the middle section in the photo above to be wide enough to accommodate the connector piece's internal ridge, but not so wide that it's sloppy and has too much lateral movement. You want the ends of the coupling joints to stay inside the connector piece.
