I had a dud fob battery issue recently. A couple weeks back I got the low battery warning which surprised me as I only had a new one put in in late August at service and to date each battery has lasted a year, so I wonder if the one (Panasonic) the dealership put in was dodgy.

I replaced my fob battery after 18 Months - it didn't work at first so I looked at the battery housing and the design is not brilliant - there is a tab which is the positive (from memory) that can get bent very easily and not make contact anymore. I bent it back into shape and it came back to life.

I bought Duracell’s from Tesco a pack of 4 they were all duff. Bought two from Morrison’s they worked great. It was a heart stop moment though no key fobs working one of the old batteries just scraped enough charge to open the doors.
