Another thing people aren't considering in these records is the altitude. I don't know the exact elevation they're throwing at, but higher altitude = less drag on the disc. Less drag translates into higher top speed, slower deceleration, and longer glides. All of those things help the discs fly a lot farther. My top distance at sea level is just over 400 feet, and I've managed to drive over 500 while throwing at 5500 feet of elevation. The difference high altitude makes is profound.
