I am about 5'8" and play 1 degree flat per Ping's recommendation. What lie angle do you play and why? I was told that shorter players are supposed to play irons with flatter lie angle. Just curious if there are shorter players out there who are playing 1-2* upright.

5'6" standard lie, -1/4* length My fitter said that I stand up a little in the downswing, so when I get that swing fault fixed I might have to bend my irons a degree or two flat.

I'm 5'7" and play standard length (37.5" 6 iron), 2* flat from Titleist standard lie (so 60.5* lie on my 6 iron). I've consistently fit into this length/lie since about my senior year of high school. The only difference in spec that I've had since that time has been shaft type and flex.

For those who have experimented with shaft length, would 1/4" make any noticeable difference? I did not bother cutting my shafts by 0.25"... and play mine at std. length.
