MSDS for both Kleen-Strip "Paint Thinner" and "Odorless Mineral Spirits" states between 95-100% "Stoddard solvent {Mineral spirits; Aliphatic Petroleum Distillates; White spirits}". The "Paint Thinner" product states 1-2% "1,2,4-Trimethylbenzene". Is that the stinky stuff? At any rate, paint thinner is fine to use as a grip solvent.

I just picked up a gallon of mineral spirits at Walmart for $10. I probably could have found it for less. But, this should last me forever. Way cheaper than buying "grip solvent" from a golf shop.
