Women’s Golf Day allows women to explore various options in their community including local facilities, lessons, leagues and other ways to get involved in golf. All vendors, teachers and other local golf resources will have the opportunity to get involved and have materials present to engage the female golfer.

History of National Golf Month

It was the Professional Golfer’s Association of America (P.G.A.) who founded the first National Golf Month back in August 1993. The purpose of this was to promote golf as a family-friendly and inclusive sport that could be accessible to all ages, genders, and skill levels. Initially, the P.G.A.

The four hour experience allows a simple and accessible platform to build a foundation and creates a network to support the continuation of golf no matter what skill level or interest while engaging them in a charitable cause with global impact from a local level.

How long is a driving range lesson?

Participants have the option of: 2 hours of lessons – One hour on the driving range and One hour chipping and putting. or. 2 hours of play – A 9-hole scramble or play their own ball as long as the round can be completed in two hours.

PGA Golf Day was established by PGA Professionals in the Southwest Section with a goal to raise money for selected local charities and to highlight the value of the PGA Professional in local communities.

Southwest and Northern California Sections Off to Good Starts in 2019 Campaigns

The Southwest and Northern California PGA Sections have now eclipsed the 5-figure fundraising mark early on in their respective 2018 PGA Golf Day campaigns. Southwest contributes the majority of their Foundation dollars to local golf scholarship programs and the Special Olympics of Arizona .
