What is a late flip on a golf club?

The late flip is the body’s way of getting the club back to the ball when club face is open to the path or the path is too far right, and sometimes if the angle of attack is too steep because the downswing is too narrow (from trying to add lag with the hands). When the path is too far right or the face is open to the path, the body senses this.

Why is my golf swing so laggy?

Another common problem players run into is turning too fast at the beginning of the downswing. This can result in the golfer’s upper body outrunning their lower body, thus destroying lag. Additionally, this can also create an outside in downswing path, costing you a lot of power. Your left wrist and hand are what control the face of the club.

Why do I lose all my power when I flip the club?

“You are flipping the club before impact and that is why you are losing all your power. Power comes from having as much lag as possible and you need to use your hands to pull the grip at the ball to maintain that lag angle.”

How To Regain Confidence And Your Golf Swing

I remember the first time I had lost my golfing mojo. I went from consistently swinging a score of 80-85, to being well into the triple digits. At the time, I couldn’t work out what was wrong with my golf swing. It felt like I went back in time, back to when I was a beginner.

How I fixed My Golf Swing

I decided to do 3 simple things each day for a total of 30 days. Once my own experiment was complete, I completely regained my swing and was chipping consistently. I’m happy to report that I was playing my best golf ever!

1. Practice One Drill 100 times

I made a promise to myself that I would practice hitting irons over and over again. In fact I chose to do the drill 100 times per day. I knew there wasn’t much point performing my normal golf routine. Instead I focused on the problem, and practiced consistently.

2. Meditate and Visualize Your Best Shots

Aside from repeatedly practicing I also incorporated 20 straight days of visualizing and meditation. The results are undeniable. This is when I saw a huge improvement in my golf swing! In fact after only 1 day of doing this I noticed a small but noticeable boost in my swinging technique.

The Visualization Experiment

Make no mistake about it. I have tried dozens of different ways to gain confidence on the golf course. This is why I feel extremely confident sharing my ideas with you. Although everyone’s situation is different, I likely know what’s going wrong in your game.

Summary

Did you know there is no such thing as “ladies tees?” I was amused that the PGA is tilting at this windmill via their “Tee It Forward” program. They are trying to get the high handicappers to move up on the tee and shorten the golf course to match their ability. This program has a fat chance of succeeding because Golfer-Jerks think it’s sissified to play from anywhere but the back tees.

Why does my club head miss the ground?

The clubhead misses the ground because you uncock your wrists as you come into the ball, but it then comes up too quickly as you cup your wrists resulting in a skulled or thin shot.
