The Divi is a bit nicer, a little less rowdy, and has better beaches. The Tamarijn is less expensive and better for a younger atmosphere. You get access to both properties so you really can't go wrong.

Tipping is considered optional. Everywhere within the Divi - including the restaurants that require reservations.....which I HIGHLY recommend. But if you are going to be drinking alcohol, especially at the beachfront Tiki Bar, you will wait a lot longer to be served if you don't tip.
