I agree with you - when I go to the range I dress as I would playing an actual round - I just like looking my best. In reference to the shoes - I'm pretty sure that baseball players don't take batting practice without wearing cleats, so it only makes sense to prepare properly.

Feedback

Half the time I am going to the range it is from work (at a golf store) so I wear golf attire plus my golf shoes. If I am just going from home ill wear khaki golf shorts, a t-shirt, and my shoes. Always wear the golf shoes though.

Feedback

Dressed just like I would on the course. I go to a CC real grass driving range and feel that if I showed up in athletic shorts and a t-shirt I would feel out of place. Plus it gets hot/humid out there and rather be in dri-fit material than just a cotton shirt.

Feedback

I always wear golf course clothes to the range minus the slacks. I usually wear shorts just for comfort and venthilation... haha. I hate swinging in anything but a golf shirt and golf shoes. It feels goofy

Feedback

My current home course has a dress code for the entire facilty, so golf clothes. But even when I used to go to a dedicated range, I wore golf clothes. Maybe not my best stuff, but definitely golf clothes.

Feedback

I always wear what I would wear to the course, though I may not always tuck my shirt in at the range.

Patch

I am at the short game practice area right now. Military boots, cargo shorts, dark grey tee shirt, sun glasses, and a panama hat. I am fitting right in with the current crowd.

colin007

I don't know why, but I'd rather look like the homeless guy at the range than the tour pro looking hacker. Even if I were good, I think dressing up for the range screams LOOK AT ME I'M AWESOMESAUCE!!!!

jkelley9

I wear golf clothes 9 times out of 10. I will occasionally wear athletic sweatpants (I did today) or even jeans if I'm in a pinch (if I'm in a pinch for time). This always includes my golf shoes. The shoes probably do not affect my swing but they have a completely different "feel" in my swing... so even if people think that's dumb... meh.

jamo

Depends where I'm going. Sometimes golf clothes, sometimes I'll wear a t-shirt instead. At places that are just a range and no course attached, I've worn athletic shorts before.

Dave325

Ha ha ha! This time of year I look homeless going to the course. Everything is a muddy, wet mess. I wear some raggedy pants and 3 year old golf shoes. And today I didn't shave!
